Remember going to the playground? Swinging on the swings? Sliding the slides?
Personally I liked the wooden ones back then. Seemed more natural, homey; didn't have that cold feeling that the metal (industrial) ones did. But you know, if they had play areas like this when I was a kid, I think I woulda loved it :)

Grizzly Bear

So as many might already know, Grizzly Bear's made/making a new album.

Ok, first off, may I say that their new album Veckatimest is pretty sweet. 2nd off, i feel like i should state that the album hasn't really, entirely, fully, been released yet. That won't happen till May 26th, 2k9. Buuuut, as all great things are leaked, so was G Bear. Here's some of my fave's off the new album.

Moving On/Weekend in the City

Ok, now that all the portfolio stuff is done, i'm gonna get back to writing about other stuff. 

Soooo, weekend in toronto was hella sweet. Saw some real fun bands. Women and Chad VanGaalen were really sweet. And Bloc Party was awesome. But a really fun suprise was We Are Wolves opening up for B Party. Check it.

So I'm sitting at a school comp (cuz class was canceled) waiting to see if i passed or not. 20 more minutes and i should know. errrrggggghhhhh, just tell me already.

So, i'm gonna find out the results of my port review in just a few hours. i'm up late, dumb. a litle cuz i had some color hw, mostly cuz i can't sleep. thinking bout it. i'm really happy with how my portfolio turned out, and i know i can use it to achieve goals, i'm just nervous to see if it'll let me keep going here in buffalo. besides the point, would i stay in blo if i passed? maybe failing would be best after all. not sure. ether way, the answer is coming, and i hope for a positive result. more on that, and the sweet weekend soon.

Shit man... I got review in t-minus 39 hours. i'm freaking out. i've spent sooo much time on it. buuut you know, i'm totally doing it for me. to create and compile the best that i can in a given time frame. i don't really know if i'll pass or not, i'm not close with the king so we'll see.. haha. but it's time to buckle down and get it done. and be proud of the accomplishment. plus it'll be a portfolio i'll be able to take with me anywhere. to a new school, internship, job, whatever. 39 hours. time flies. luck wish me.
